Austin, Texas, Parents Furious at Sex Ed Class Training Kids to Be LGBTQ Activists

Parents of Austin, Texas, grade schoolers are furious with new sex ed classes that teaches kids how to become radical gay activists.

On Tuesday, the Austin Independent School District (ISD) school board approved the new sex ed curriculum from grades between 3 and 8, but parents say that the new course work not only normalizes the gay lifestyle, but also teaches kids to rise up and advocate for gay activities.

The coursework is so radical, it even eliminates the words “mother” and “father” as a sop to radical gender-neutral activism.

More than 100 parents and others testified against the curriculum at the school board meeting, but the board approved the new scheme, anyway, according to PJ Media.

“This vote by the Austin ISD Board sends a clear message: people of faith and traditional moral values are not welcome in Austin ISD,” David Walls, vice president of Texas Values and a parent in Austin ISD, said. “By passing this curriculum, Austin ISD has broken the sacred trust that parents put in their children’s schools. Austin ISD parents have no reason to entrust their children to a school district that weaponizes education to indoctrinate children into the LGBT political movement.”

Texas Values added that the words “mother,” “mom,” “father,” and “dad” had been erased from the coursework for grades for children as young as 3rd grade.

In place of those words, the curriculum substitutes radical gender inclusive language, the group says.

“Use Gender Inclusive Language,” the curriculum tells teachers. “It is important to avoid terms which refer only to ‘male’ and ‘female’ identities when speaking with young children as this can limit their understanding of gender into binaries and can exclude children who may not identify within these identities. For example, when discussing family members or adults they may have in their life, try not to only use terms like ‘mom’ or ‘dad’. Try integrating words like, ‘parents’ or, ‘guardians’ to include children whose parents might not fit into ‘traditional’ concepts of family structures.”

The new language, for instance, tells kids not to say things like, “you were born to your mother,” but instead tells kids to say, “Are you close with your birth parents?”

The kids will also be told “sex is assigned” at birth instead of teaching that people are born with a preexisting gender.

By grade 6, students are even told to attend radical gay rights events, parades, and rallies. Another part of the course explains how a same sex couple are perfectly normal while having sex.

Parents, though, are working to reverse the school board’s decision and to jettison the radical gay sex ed classes.

“More than 7,000 people have signed Texas Values’ petition against the sex-ed curriculum,” PJ Media reported.
