Whether or not you agree with the motive behind the Wall Street protests, you have to admire the peaceful way most of the week long sit in has been conducted. Similar protests have been organized in other cities such New Orleans and San Francisco.
However, a few bad seed bigots have infiltrated the peaceful protesters and are attempting to use their stage as a platform for their own personal hatreds. A few bad apples in the Big Apple shouted anti-Jewish slurs as they moved through the crowd. In New York, anti-Semitic rabble-rousers moved in and tried to insight the crowd against Jews by blaming them for all of the financial problems. Their rhetoric sounded very similar to that used by Hitler’s Nazis in the 1930s.
In New Orleans the peaceful protests were interrupted by wanna-be anarchists shouting out ‘kill the cops.’ Libertarians and socialists clashed at the anti-police mantra as the police tried to diffuse some of the rising tensions.
It doesn’t surprise me to see trouble makers using someone else’s peaceful cause as a means to stir up trouble. I also view this as a sign of the decadency and lack of respect for any authority or person among so many younger people in America.
Over the past few decades, this kind of destructive behavior has become almost commonplace. Years ago, when a city’s professional sports team would win a championship; there would be a parade and public celebration. Now days, many city officials, police and fire departments secretly route for their home team to lose, because inevitably public celebrations turn into riots. Cars are overturned and set on fire, stores are broken into and looted and people are beat up and injured.
We have a significant number of young people throughout the nation that have no respect for authority or for other people. All they want to do is riot, destroy and damage other people’s personal property and steal whatever they can get their hands on.
And this is a symptom of a growing disease that is destroying America like a cancer. If you study American history carefully, you can pinpoint the start of the flagrant lawlessness that we see so prevalently today. When the US Supreme Court started removing the Bible and Christianity from the schools and government in the 1960s, Christ was replaced with debauchery and hedonism.
The only way to turn the values and morals of the nation around is to return America to a one nation under God. We need to heed and follow 2 Chronicles 7:14 which says, “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
