Bill Clinton says of the Lewinsky Scandal – ‘I did the Right Thing’

I didn’t think that I could respect former President Bill Clinton any less… but apparently, we still haven’t plumbed the depths of that hole.

In an interview he conducted with NBC’s Craig Melvin for the Today Show, the former President and well-known philander can’t seem to understand why people think he’s such a womanizing freak.

Instead of willingly accepting responsibility for his own sins, Clinton deflected and wondered if President’s Kennedy or Johnson, should have resigned the office because of their immorality as well? Now that the question is being posed… yes, Kennedy and Johnson were both morally unfit to hold office and both should have resigned had those sins come to light during their tenure. Sadly, the nation didn’t realize who questionable the scruples of either man was until long after they had left office.

The wily and immoral ex-President also used the interview as a vehicle for attacking our current President.

“A lot of the facts have been conveniently omitted to make the story work, I think partly because they were frustrated that they got all these serious allegations against the current occupant of the Oval Office. And his voters don’t seem to care. I think I did the right thing. I defended the Constitution,” Clinton opined.
