If you can’t take the heat, then stay out of the kitchen!
President Donald Trump and Senator John McCain have been at each other’s throats more than usual as of recent. McCain says that Trump’s anti-globalist agenda is “unpatriotic.” Right, because being “America first” as an American is just sooooo unpatriotic.
The Arizona senator criticized Trump at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia as he received the Center’s Liberty Medal.
“To refuse the obligations of international leadership and our duty to remain the last best hope of earth for the sake of some half-baked spurious nationalism cooked up by people who would rather find scapegoats than solve problems is as unpatriotic as an attachment to any other tired dogma of the past,” McCain stated with passion.
On Tuesday, the president responded to the failed insults on “The Chris Plante Show.” He said, “People have to be careful because at some point I fight back,” Trump continued, “You know, I’m being very nice. I’m being very, very nice, but at some point I fight back and it won’t be pretty.”
McCain put on a poker face upon hearing Trump’s response, and told reporters, “”I have faced some pretty tough adversaries in the past,” he added, “I’m not interested in confronting the president. I’m interested in working with the president.”
McCain even said that he is not blocking legislations, like the repeal of Obamacare, due to his dislike for Trump. I call bullish*t right there though. McCain said SEVERAL times during Obama’s presidency that it was urgent for us to repeal and replace Obamacare. However, since Trump has become president and tried to pass a repeal, McCain has voted “no” every time. It’s also no secret that he doesn’t like the president.
This little clip right here proves McCain’s little claim to be nothing but a lie:
