A California school district has pulled a classroom course that essentially presented pedophilia as a normal part of human sexuality.
The Brea Olinda School District, near Yorba Linda, California, yanked the curriculum after a conservative watchdog group raised the alarm over the program.
The Freedom Project reported that the Brea Olinda School District explained to parents that students were only learning about pedophilia and pederasty from a historical perspective.
Government school officials in California think it is “really important” to teach children about pedophilia and pederasty in the classroom because it is a “sexual orientation.” That is according to a top official for California’s Brea Olinda School District, who admitted to parents that it was being done — and that it would continue, despite the outrage. The implications are mind-blowing.
Freedom Project published a video that they say shows kids being taught the pedophilia is just another, normal part of human sexuality.
But the school district explained away its classroom material.
“This is done because we are talking about historical perspectives of how gender relations and different types of sexual orientations have existed in history,” said BOUSD Assistant Superintendent of Curricula Kerrie Torres in a matter-of-fact way, sounding almost oblivious to how the bombshell might sound to normal people.
Horrified, the mother turned activist expressed shock at Torres’ admission. “So sex between a man and a boy is a sexual orientation?” she asked. Torres did not deny it. “It’s something that occurred in history, and so this is really important for us to include,” the assistant superintendent said, implying that yes, sexual relations between a man and a boy — properly considered rape under the laws of every state — is a “sexual orientation.”
But left-wing “fact checker” Snopes insisted that the characterization of the school’s program was “false.”
Snopes said the school district admitted that pedophilia and pederasty was mentioned in the slideshow, but noted that they pulled the verbiage from the slide because of its ambiguous nature.
“After careful review of the curriculum, the district determined it [the bullet point] posed more questions than answers,” the school spokesperson said.
“The BOUSD presentation, which is outdated anyway, did not endorse pederasty or present it approvingly, nor did it describe pederasty or pedophilia as a discreet sexual orientation. ,” Snopes insisted.
