The global warming pushing Obamas have reportedly plunked down $11.75 million Obama bucks on a Martha’s Vineyard home built only yards away from the ocean.
So… I guess the Obamas don’t really believe that the seas will be rising from global warming, do they? After all, if the coasts are about to be swamped by the sea in only 11 years, why would the former president and his wife put down a record amount of cash for a showy house on the ocean?
The new Palace d’Obama is only 18 years old, having been built in 2001, and sits on 29-acres of land. The property includes a 6,900 sq ft house with seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms.
Hey, you didn’t build that, Obama.
“Last year, the Obamas sold their summer home on the island for $15 million, having spent seven out of eight summers there while Barack was President,” the Daily Mail wrote.
Barack and Michelle have been working on the real estate deal since they stayed at the house last summer, it was reported.
The massive estate was originally owned by Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck.
The home is situated on an island off the coast of Massachusetts in the tony Martha’s Vineyard region.
The house was originally listed for $14,850,000 but TMZ reports the Obamas managed to obtain a huge discount and secured the 6,900sq ft home for $11.75 million.
“Outdoors, the land comes with its own private beach, a boathouse and has plenty of land if the Obama’s were hoping to expand,” the British paper adds.
Oh, I know why Barack bought that house, now.
Why, he’s the magical savior who can lower the seas.
