CNN dumped a report it asked for from San Diego TV station KUSI after the cable “news” network realized that the station’s reporter said that the wall between the U.S. and Mexico was a good idea.
On Thursday, CNN contacted KUSI to provide them with a reporter who could discuss how the border wall in San Diego is working. The station offered reporter Dan Plante who has done extensive reporting on the border.
But because Plante and KUSI have reported that the border wall is working in San Diego and that local Border Patrol officers also support the border wall, CNN dumped the report and refused further interaction with KUSI.

According to KUSI:
Thursday morning, CNN called the KUSI Newsroom asking if one of our reporters could give them a local view of the debate surrounding the border wall and government shutdown.
KUSI offered our own Dan Plante, who has reported dozens of times on the border, including one story from 2016 that was retweeted by former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich, and posted on DrudgeReport.com.
What happened after CNN got the reporter?
Well, CNN suddenly backed out of the deal it had negotiated.
We believe CNN declined a report from KUSI because we informed them that most Border Patrol Agents we have spoken to told us the barrier does in fact work.
We have continuously been told by Border Patrol Agents that the barrier along the Southern border helps prevent illegal entries, drugs, and weapons from entering the United States, and the numbers prove it.
