A five-year-old Colorado girl died after drinking her mommy’s meth-laced bong water, but only after the woman watched the child hallucinate for four hours.
This is another example of how great pot legalization is.
Sophia Larson, 5, drank the dirty water from her mom’s pot bong after the child saw a water bottle sitting out that she thought had clean drinking water in it, Newsweek reported.
The girl’s mother sat back for hours watching the child descend into hallucinations, and then unconsciousness. Finally the girl stopped breathing. It was only then this murderous mother tried to “do something.
Her mother, 26-year-old Stephanie Alvarado, later told the police that her little baby said the water tasted “yucky” but the woman didn’t do anything to help the girl. Alvarado said she used the dirty water in a bong to smoke meth with her cousins, 27-year-old Daniel Alvarado, and 26-year-old Bertha Karina Ceballos-Romo.
Court documents say that Alvarado admitted to sitting around for four hours doing nothing as the girl fell into deeper and deeper distress.
Finally, when the girl stopped breathing, the three criminal Mexican natives took the girl to the home of a family member who had an oxygen tank. They thought if they gave the dead child some oxygen, she would revive. But the girl did not revive.
Finally, they took the dead child to a hospital, but it was far too late.
Garfield County coroner Robert Glassmire said the child had a “very, very high” level of methamphetamine in her system and declared her death an overdose.
The police arrested the three women and charged them with child abuse resulting in death, possession of a controlled substance, and reckless endangerment.
The child’s father, Alex Larson, 23, said he ended his relationship with the girl’s mother because of the woman’s drug abuse issues.
“If they would have taken her [to the hospital] when they saw my daughter drank that, she may have been a little slow and not right in the head — but my daughter would still be here with me today,” Larson told the media.
