Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) claimed that the U.S. is not “the top country” to be born into today during an interview with Nick Hanauer and David Goldstein on an episode of the “Pitchfork Economics” podcast released on 2/26/19.
“The United States of America is not gonna be, necessarily if you’re just looking to get out of poverty, that’s your only metric, this is not necessarily the top country if you’re going to be born poor to get out. And that’s actually an assault on the very idea of the American dream.”
Booker appeared on the “Pitchfork Economics” podcast with co-hosts Nick Hanauer and David Goldstein to discuss multiple issues, including the economy and poverty rates.
The senator contrasted the conditions in America today with those in the 1930s, a time known as “the Great Depression,” when his father was born.
“Even if you were a black guy like my dad and you were going to pick a country to be born in, the United States would be at the top of your list because we were expanding middle class at a rate that was creating opportunity,” Booker said. More
Booker hates the United States of America. Independents, remember that in the next presidential election. Which candidate loves America and which candidate(s) hate and are ashamed of America.
Almost anything you find wrong in this country you can lay at the feet of malcontents like Sen. Cory Booker (D., N.J.) and the party he represents. What a mess they have made of this great country. Thank God we finally have a strong leader in President Trump who is not afraid to fight back.
@CoryBooker claims America isn’t the top country in the world. @SenSanders has said that Cuba is a better nation than the United States. Obama apologized for America. And Democrats wonder why their patriotism is questioned. https://t.co/GorHPdy3au
