Court Throws Out Sheriff Arpaio’s Lawsuit Against Obama’s Delayed Deportation

I lived in Maricopa County, Arizona for over 36 years. I’ve seen first-hand the devastating effects of out of control illegal immigration. Our neighborhood was a clean, well-kept family friendly neighborhood. My wife and I often took walks in the evening. She and her mom would even walk almost two miles to shop and then walk home without any fear of others in the neighborhood.

Then a number of illegals began moving into the neighborhood. Not long afterwards, home burglaries and assaults started increasing. It was common for 20 to 30 or more illegals to move into one house. You could easily identify the house by the trashy yard and rundown look to the house and property. Vulgar Hispanic graffiti started showing up on cinderblock fences and neighboring houses.

Our once family friendly neighborhood soon got very unfriendly and was no longer safe to walk, day or night. As the illegals moved in, crime went up and property values went down. A number of homeowners began selling their homes and moving out and even more illegals moved in.

Several years ago I drove through the old neighborhood and it reminded me of driving through a Mexican village. The majority of homes and yards were not kept up and were trashed. I noticed that some of the homes that still looked decent now had bars on the windows and signs that they had an alarm system. The local stores we used to shop in were all run down and dirty with all of their signage in Spanish.

A few months ago, an illegal with a felony record shot and killed a young clerk at the convenience store around the corner from our former house. The clerk was too slow in counting the change the illegal dumped on the counter. Had he been deported, that clerk would still be alive today.

Friends and family, some of which were involved with law enforcement, have told me how much the crime rates increased in many neighborhoods as illegals moved in. Physical and sexual assaults, rapes, robberies, burglaries, car theft and murders all increased in direct proportion to the influx of illegals.

Yet, a federal court in Washington DC just tossed out a lawsuit filed by Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio that challenged the legality of Obama’s delayed deportation program. A main part of Arpaio’s argument centered upon the increase of crime that occurred with the increased numbers of illegals.

Arpaio’s attorney argued that allowing illegals to remain in the US would result in a ‘domestic crime wave.’ However the DC court was blinded by the agenda of Obama and his fellow anti-American liberals. The reason they gave for dismissing the case is that Arpaio and his attorneys failed to provide enough evidence to show the correlation between increased crimes with increased illegals.

I challenge the three judge panel who made the idiotic ruling to visit Maricopa County and look at what is happening, or had already happened, to too many neighborhoods in the county. Talk to residents who have lived there for years and witnessed the devastation that has overtaken their homes as a result of the influx of illegals. The judges need to talk to the local law enforcement agencies that patrol these neighborhoods.

Then if they still ruled that Arpaio had no standing for his lawsuit due to lack of evidence, we would know for certain that the judges in the DC court have bought into Obama’s illegal agenda and care nothing for the safety and well-being of American citizens.
