DC Comics Threatens to Sue Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Comic for Stealing Wonder Woman Character

DC Comics is suing. You don’t tug on Superman’s cape and, apparently, you don’t steal the Wonder Woman character and try to use her to push socialist wunderkind Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, either!

Earlier this year a small comic book company created a comic to push the wonderfulness of New York’s commie greenie, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

“It’s Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the ‘Freshmen Force’ (of Congress) vs. the establishment in this all-new special! Comic creators converge to celebrate the election of the most diverse group of freshman Representatives in history, and spare no-one in this satire that takes aim at Washington,” the Devil’s Due comics company wrote in its press release. “From the house that brought you Barack the Barbarian! Featuring comics from various artists and bonus activities and games.”

That idiocy is bad enough, but the company apparently made a fatal error in its lionized silliness over AOC.

They turned AOC into a cloned version of Wonder Woman.

As you can see, there really isn’t any difference at all between this cover design (seen below) and Wonder Woman’s costume. About the only difference is that the AOC art did away with Wonder Woman’s “W” and replaced it with an “A” for “Alexandria.”

It really is hard to believe that Devil’s Due comics thought it could get away with this.

Well, they went ahead of it, anyway.

And DC Comics is NOT amused.

The small company had already planned a very small release of around 250 issues of the AOC comic. But now DC Comics is demanding that the small company recall and destroy all of them.

Amusingly, the few that escaped the company and got out to comics fans are already going for premium prices.

Ah, capitalism.
