Defense Secretary Ash Carter announced on Monday that the Pentagon’s rules regarding transgender troops are outdated and ordered a six-month review to determine how to integrate them into the military.
Carter said that the working group will examine the regulations to determine if integrating transgenders would affect combat readiness.
But — here it comes — the commission will begin with the presumption that transgenders should be able to serve.
So much for studying the issue objectively. Should make it easy to write the final report, though.
Carter claimed the current rules are confusing for the troops:
“The Defense Department’s current regulations regarding transgender service members are outdated and are causing uncertainty that distracts commanders from our core missions,” Carter said in a statement reported by the Associated Press. “At a time when our troops have learned from experience that the most important qualification for service members should be whether they’re able and willing to do their job, our officers and enlisted personnel are faced with certain rules that tell them the opposite.”
Call me old-fashioned, but I suspect the real source of confusion on this issue is from men who think they’re women and women who think they’re men.
Transgenders are not currently allowed to join the military, but a few may have snuck in, so Carter said no transgenders are going to be kicked out during the six-month review, and since we know they won’t be kicked out afterward, the United States Armed Forces are now a sanity-free zone.
It was inevitable in today’s military, where gays are not only allowed to serve openly but can get married and seem to have the upper hand, as activists are trying to force chaplains who believe in biblical marriage to resign or be discharged.
One of the big issues facing the committee that will decide on the new rules is whether the military will pay for sex-change operations, hormone therapy and other treatments transgenders seek.
Since it’s a foregone conclusion that transgenders and their emotional baggage will be coddled by the Obama Administration, that means a significant amount of military dollars will be diverted to create eunuchs and engineer women with facial hair rather than defending the country.
It’s not too much of a stretch to foresee a time when joining the military may become the preferred method for confused men and women to pay for their sex-change operations.
Throughout this country’s history, homosexuality in the military has been considered a threat to discipline. Today’s activists are looking to solve that issue by forcing out Christians and anybody else who objects to the homosexual lifestyle.
In the past, our country has had the finest military on the planet. After six years of Obama, I’m no longer sure that’s true.
But just ask yourself how safe will the country be when the only people left in key positions of the military are homosexuals, transgenders, satanists, atheists and neopagans?
