The left has been working overtime to cancel both Fox News superstars Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson, but despite the effort to get advertisers to boycott them both, Hannity, for one, has topped NSMBC’s Rachel Maddow in the ratings for a whopping 70 consecutive weeks.
Liberals occasionally try to claim that Maddow is a ratings powerhouse, but the numbers don’t really prove that out very often. The fact is, Fox News consistently demolishes MSNBC in the ratings. And BOTH those networks make CNN look like a college TV-styled production that appears nowhere but the world’s airports!
Fo the recent ratings period, Fox News finished number one in total day in important A18-49 demographic for the fourth uninterrupted week.
Fox continued its dominance as the most-watched network in all of cable across total day and primetime, advancing its winning streak to 27 straight weeks in total day and 25 weeks in a row in primetime among total viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. During the week of July 6th through July 12th, the network also topped the cable competition across both dayparts in total viewers and the younger 25-54 demographic. In total day, FNC delivered 1.7 million viewers and 291,000 in the 25-54 demographic and 178,000 in the 18-49 category. In primetime, FNC garnered 3.3 million viewers and 560,000 with the key 25-54 demographic and 354,000 in the 18-49 demographic. Additionally, FNC finished number one in total day in the 18-49 category for the fourth consecutive week, matching CNN and topping HGTV, Food Network and TBS, among others.
Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson were standouts.
At 9PM/ET Hannity earned the number one spot in total viewers, delivering 4,118,000 viewers and 734,000 with A25-54 and 468,000 in A18-49. The program continued to surpass MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show in both total viewers and the key demo (compared to Maddow’s 3.4 million viewers, 522,000 A25-54 and 372,000 A18-49) for 70 straight weeks.
For is part, Tucker Carlson Tonight earned the top spot in the younger demographic and the second-highest rated program in total viewers, notching 4.1 million viewers, 727,000 with A25-54 and 469,000 with A18-49.
Both shows beat various broadcast shows, including presentations of NBC’s Today Show and Meet the Press, ABC’s Good Morning America and This Week and CBS’ Face the Nation in total viewers.
Nearly all of Fox’s other shows did well in their time slots out earning their competitors.
Nielsen Media Research continues to show Fox News swamping the others.
