Doritos has joined the throng of products that promote or support gay rights. Frito Lay just announced a limited addition of their Cool Ranch tortilla chips in rainbow colors. Rainbows, as they are being referred to, is a joint venture with the gay non-profit group, It Gets Better, to show their support for the LGBT community.
The bags are splashed with a rainbow across the top and then the images of the five rainbow colored tortilla chips of purple, blue, green, orange and red. On the back of the bag of gay chips, the company proudly declares:
“There’s nothing bolder than being yourself.”
The only redeemable thing about this perverse product is that you won’t see it on store shelves. In order to obtain a bag of gay chips, a person has to donate $10 or more to It Gets Better and the chips will be shipped to them.
So who is It Gets Better? Does the name Dan Savage ring a bell? He’s one of the most popular advocates of homosexuality who speaks to thousands of young people across America. According the It Gets Better website:
“What is the It Gets Better Project?
“In September 2010, syndicated columnist and author Dan Savage created a YouTube video with his partner Terry Miller to inspire hope for young people facing harassment. In response to a number of students taking their own lives after being bullied in school, they wanted to create a personal way for supporters everywhere to tell LGBT youth that, yes, it does indeed get better.”
‘The It Gets Better Project™ has become a worldwide movement, inspiring more than 50,000 user-created videos viewed more than 50 million times. To date, the project has received submissions from celebrities, organizations, activists, politicians and media personalities, including President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Adam Lambert, Anne Hathaway, Colin Farrell, Matthew Morrison of ‘Glee’, Joe Jonas, Joel Madden, Ke$ha, Sarah Silverman, Tim Gunn, Ellen DeGeneres, Suze Orman, the staffs of The Gap, Google, Facebook, Pixar, the Broadway community, and many more. For us, every video changes a life. It doesn’t matter who makes it.”
“ItGetsBetter.org is a place where young people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender can see how love and happiness can be a reality in their future. It’s a place where our straight allies can visit and support their friends and family members. It’s a place where people can share their stories, take the It Gets Better Project pledge and watch videos of love and support.”
“On March 22, 2011, six months following the launch of the project, the It Gets Better Project book was released. The book, It Gets Better: Coming Out, Overcoming Bullying, and Creating a Life Worth Living is on-sale wherever books are sold. It includes essays and new material from more than 100 contributors, including celebrities, religious leaders, politicians, parents, educators, youth just out of high school, and many more.”
In other words, It Gets Better focuses on corrupting the minds of – middle and high school as well as college aged young people. I watched a video of one of Dan Savage’s speaking events in front of hundreds of young people. He was crude, vulgar and extremely graphic in his presentation so much so that it would make sailor blush, to use an old colloquialism.
This is who Frito Lay is partnering with in the production of the Dorito Rainbows. I don’t know about you, but I will no longer purchase any Frito Lay product. That means no more Lays potato chips, Tostitos, Doritos, Ruffles, Fritos, Sun Chips, Rold Gold pretzels, Cracker Jacks, Grandma’s cookies or any of their other product which you can view here. Write to Frito Lay and tell them what products of theirs you are no longer going to buy because of their support for homosexuality.
I urge every American to stop buying Frito Lay products and hurt them financially for their support of a sinful lifestyle that God calls abominable and said was punishable by death.
