The Fox TV drama, Empire has officially started planning season six, but without troubled hate crime hoaxer Jussie Smollett whose character now officially will not be brought back to the show.
With work on the new season about to begin, Fox announced that Jussie Smollett’s character will not be part of the show going forward.
Smollett is still under contract with the show, but he will not be part of the series, Fox said.

“By mutual agreement, the studio has negotiated an extension to Jussie Smollett’s option for season six, but at this time there are no plans for the character of Jamal to return to Empire,” the studio said in a statement.
The decision caps actions taken last season when Fox deleted Smollett’s scenes in the last two episodes of the series.
Members of the media tried to find Smollett at his Chicago home, but soon learned from his representatives that Smollett has already moved out of Chicago!
Smollett raised eyebrows early this year when he made a formal police report that “two white men” who “might” have been wearing Donald Trump hats beat him up, poured bleach on him, and hung a noose around his neck all while yelling, “this is MAGA country.”
Smollett alleged this happened at 2AM in a deserted downtown Chicago, during a polar vortex temperature drop.
Yeah. Right. Two white guys who just happened to have bleach and a noose are wandering around downtown Chicago at 2AM at 20 below zero weather looking for a gay TV actor to attack. All in a city that is deep blue and hardly a place that could be thought of as “MAGA country.”
Sure, pal, sure.
Nevertheless, to avoid being called racists, the Chicago police launched a full investigation that they say eventually cost the city $300,000.
The police, though, soon discovered that Smollett paid two black friends to beat him up and that the whole incident was a hoax launched by Smollett to get publicity.
Smollett was indicted for fraud and making false police reports but Kim Foxx, the politically motivated black power racist running the county DA’s office, shocked the whole country by dropping the charges against the actor.
Smollett gave the TV show such a bad name that they deleted him from the last few episodes of the fifth season and now have dumped him from the show.
