Ex-Cop Tells Democrats She Won’t Hand Over Her Guns During Congressional Hearing

A former police officer told Democrats on Capitol Hill that she would never comply with demands that she must turn in her guns if Democrats pushed a forced gun “buy back” program or any such gun ban.

Speaking before the House Judiciary Committee, former officer Dianna Muller insisted that if the Democrats passed any gun bans, she would “not comply,” Fox News reported.

Miller, who is the founder of gun advocacy group The DC Project, insisted that any such ban would be unconstitutional.

“Please don’t legislate the 150 million people just like me into being criminals. It has happened. You’ve already done it,” Muller said, referring to the Trump administration’s ban on bump stocks, the devices that use a semi-automatic weapon’s recoil to make it rapidly fire like an automatic. “I was a bump stock owner, and I had to make a decision: do I become a felon, or do I comply?”

Muller said she would refuse to obey any such ban and so would millions of other Americans.

The ex-officer slammed the Democrats for foolish rules based only on “cosmetic” differences between guns.

Heritage Foundation senior legal policy analyst Amy Swearer was asked if she felt it made sense to ban hunting rifles if they were semi-automatics? But she said there was no real difference between an “assault weapon” and a semi-automatic hunting rifle.

Swearer also pointed out that rifles such as AR-15s are easier to fire than handguns for less trained citizens to fire for self-protection.

During the hearing, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) added, “As I read the Second Amendment, it doesn’t say the right to bear arms shall not be infringed unless the gun has scary features.”

The Trump administration had begun to negotiate on gun-related issues, but with Democrat presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke screeching that he would confiscate everyone’s guns if he became president, and not one Democrat contradicting him, the administration is finding it hard to even talk to the leftist party about the issue.
