EXONERATED! Feds Drop Case Against Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn

In a shocking move on Thursday, the Department of Justice decided to drop its weak, manufactured case against former Trump national security adviser, Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.

The case was once thought by Obama’s corrupt FBI to be a signature conviction in its series of false accusations that the Trump administration somehow “colluded” with the Russians during the 2016 election.

Liberals pointed to the Flynn case to “prove” that the Trump administration acted in concert with Russia to steal the 2016 election from Hillary Clinton, but in recent months a growing mountain of evidence has finally been released that shows that FBI agents and federal prosecutors lied, withheld information, and fabricated evidence that they held over Flynn’s head and fooled him into “confessing” that he lied to them during his interviews.

Flynn eventually pleaded “guilty” in exchange for the FBI’s promise not to begin prosecuting his son on charges that had nothing whatever to do with their mandate of proving “Russia collusion.”

Indeed, after the release of the documents showing massive prosecutorial misconduct, the government’s case ended up being so tenuous that Brandon Van Grack, a Mueller team member and veteran prosecutor on the case, withdrew from the prosecution to get out from under the mess it had become.

And now the whole thing has been dropped.

According to the Associated Press:

In court documents filed Thursday, the Justice Department said that after reviewing newly disclosed information and other materials, it agreed with Flynn’s lawyers that his interview with the FBI should never have taken place because he had not had inappropriate contacts with Russians. The interview, the department said, was “conducted without any legitimate investigative basis.”

The U.S. attorney reviewing the Flynn case, Jeff Jensen, formally recommended dropping it to Barr last week, the course of action vehemently and publicly recommended by Trump, who appointed Barr to head the Justice Department.

Jensen said in a statement: “Through the course of my review of General Flynn’s case, I concluded the proper and just course was to dismiss the case. I briefed Attorney General Barr on my findings, advised him on these conclusions, and he agreed.”

This is a huge victory for both Flynn and Donald Trump.

Only days ago, President Trump slammed the FBI’s phony, crooked persecution of Flynn.
