On Thursday, Facebook engaged in a mass banning of conservatives (and one racist anti-Semite Muslim). But the mass banning pretty much proved that Facebook really doesn’t have any legitimate standards at all.
Facebook and the Facebook-owned social media site Instagram permanently banned what Facebook called “dangerous individuals and organizations” from their platforms. Infowars founder Alex Jones, investigative journalist Laura Loomer, Infowars’ Paul Joseph Watson, provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos, and Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan were among those banned.
“We’ve always banned individuals or organizations that promote or engage in violence and hate, regardless of ideology,” Facebook said in a statement, according to the New York Times. “The process for evaluating potential violators is extensive and it is what led us to our decision to remove these accounts today.”
It is curious that all these people were banned all at the same time and it proves that Facebook does not really have standards.
After all, are we expected to believe that the whole long list of people banned all violated Facebook’s standards on the same day?
No, instead, what we have is Facebook’s political activism showing itself. It proves that Facebook just used its fake “standards” claim as an excuse to ban people whose free speech they want to quash.
There is also another curious part to the reporting of Facebook’s political activism.
Nearly every major “news” agency called virulent racist and anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan a “conservative activist.”
As the Washington Examiner reported:
The New York Times, the Washington Post, Politico, and the Atlantic were among news organizations that used this description of Farrakhan, leader of the Nation of Islam and a virulent anti-Semite who has long been associated with left-wing politics. After receiving almost immediate criticism for the “right-wing” characterization on social media, outlets scrambled their articles.
The Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro was right on when said that Facebook claims of “standards” is vague and ever changing.
“It’s a problem because these policies are extraordinarily vague,” Shapiro wrote. “These policies aren’t merely designed to crack down on speech openly advocating or threatening violence, or containing obscenity. These policies are deliberately unclear as well as political.”
Facebook has NO morals or standards. All it has is a eft-wing political agenda.
