Facebook has again claimed it was juuuust an accident that someone on the political right was blocked, this time apologizing for blocking the account of White House social media director Dan Scavino.
Isn’t it funny how only people on the political right ever get “accidentally” blocked on Facebook?
On Wednesday, Facebook issued an apology for blocking Scavino.
According to CBS News:
In a statement, the social media giant headquartered in Menlo Park also said that its automated systems mistook Scavino for a bot.
Scavino wrote on Facebook on Monday that he was being blocked from replying to comments on the platform.
Paul Bedard of the Washington Examiner reported that Scavino was blocked simply for “responding to a question from a reader.”
Scavino slammed the social media giant:
“AMAZING. WHY ARE YOU STOPPING ME from replying to comments followers have left me – on my own Facebook Page!!?? People have the right to know. Why are you silencing me???,” Scavino wrote on social media.
Scavino also posted an image of the blocked notice:
“Scavino is responsible for several of the president’s and White House’s social media accounts. He has been with the president for year,” Bedard explained.
The president also jumped to Twitter to slam Facebook:

Yep. It’s funny how Facebook only makes these “mistakes” that end up blocking people on the right.
Gosh. How DOES that keep happening?
