Facebook and Twitter have stepped up to cover for “The Squad” — anti-Semitic, anti-American reps. Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Rashida Tlaib — in their fight against Donald Trump by limiting, banning, shadow banning, and otherwise quashing voices rising up against them.
Several conservative writers have told me the social media giants are working together to quash voices against the three socialist, anti-American congresswomen calling themselves “the Squad.” In some cases, for instance, posts to Facebook and Twitter about Ilhan Omar have been disappearing from people’s news feeds, and social media referral traffic to sites posting such stories have cratered. Sites are being shadow banned by having their posts burried and left unseen by fans and followers.
Unfortunately, I cannot name them or give examples because that will just help social media step up more attacks.
But I can name one person who has been oppressed by social media and give an example because that person is me.
On Sunday, I came across a tweet by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who was calling illegal aliens “immigrants.” This, of course, is a lie. Illegals are not “immigrants.” Illegals are lawbreaking criminals. The fact is actually right in the term “illegal alien.”
So, I tweeted the following phrase: “Illegal aliens are not immigrants. They are criminals.” Now that is a matter of fact in law.
But a few hours later, Twitter came to AOC’s aide and put a temporary ban on me for seven days for daring to make such a statement of truth.
With that ban on Twitter fairly underway, some of my Facebook friends wondered why my Twitter feed suddenly went quiet. So, I posted a screen shot of the Twitter notice above to Facebook.
Minutes later I was given a three-day ban by Facebook, too.
Clearly my message threatened no one, nor did it call anyone any name that is not codified in law. Nor was it an attack on AOC or her socialist Spice Girls. It was a statement of utter, irrefutable fact.
Yet, I was banned by both social media outlets within hours of each other.
Clearly Twitter and Facebook are working in tandem to help quash any voice against Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib.
