After the justifiable shooting of Michael Brown, the city of Ferguson erupted in violent protests. Cars were overturned and set on fire. Businesses had their windows and doors smashed in, were looted and then burned. The Kansas City Star claimed the riots cost the county over $4 million.
Most of the world was led to believe that the protests erupted spontaneously due to racial anger and hatred, mostly by the black community, but that isn’t entirely accurate. It seems that a radical organization promised people they would pay them $5,000 a month to protest the shooting death of Brown.
Missourians Organizing for Reform and Empowerment (MORE), who promised the payments, took the place of the St. Louis branch of Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) after it went bankrupt. ACORN was a socialist group that strived to radically change the face of America. It is also the group that Barack Obama was tied to. MORE is funded largely by billionaire socialist George Soros, who also was one of the main influences and contributors to ACORN.
Now the Ferguson protestors are protesting the organization that promised to pay them to protest the Ferguson police department. They are calling for protesters to stage a sit-in at the offices of MORE.
The black activist group known as Millennial Activists United (MAU) is turning the non-payment from MORE into another racial issue. They claim that MORE is run by white racists who only used blacks for their purpose of causing trouble. In a post on their website, they posted an open letter to MORE stating in part:
“On May 14, 2015 many individuals and organizations of the protest movement that began in Ferguson, Missouri organized a sit-in in the office of Missourians Organizing for Reform and Empowerment (MORE). The demand is simple: Cut the checks.”
“…Questions have been raised as to how the movement is to sustain when white non-profits are hoarding monies collected of off (sic) black bodies? When we will (sic) hold the industry of black suffering accountable? The people of the community are fed up and the accountability begins here and now.”
“…There is an insidious strand of racism and white supremacy that exists in this movement. This money is typically in the hands of white people who oversee the types of services that the non-profit provides, while having select token black people to spearhead the conversations within and to the community.”
“We NEED to be thinking about justice for black people. This means white people must renounce their loyalty to the social normalcy that maintains white power and control. If black lives really matter, justice and self-determination for black people would mean the black community would control it’s (sic) own political economic resources.”
If they feel that strongly about racial issues then why did they accept the offer to protest for payment in the first place? Why would even have dealt with MORE if they believed they were run by black hating whites? Isn’t it hypocritical on the part of the MAU and other black groups to even due business with someone they hate and mistrust? Or was it the lure of money that made them temporarily abandon their sense of black pride?
If anything, the money raised by MORE should go to all of the shop owners to pay for the damages they suffered at the hands of the protesters. Many of those shops were owned by blacks who supported the black community by employing black workers. Sadly, many blacks were left without a job after the Ferguson protests due to the damage and looting.
What really annoys me about all of this is that black thugs were promised payment to act like thugs to protest the justifiable shooting of a black thug. Had Michael Brown not robbed the convenience store, he would still be alive. If Michael Brown had complied with the orders issued by Officer Darren Wilson, Brown would still be alive. If Michael Brown had not physically assaulted Officer Wilson, he would still be alive.
If blacks want justice, they need to accept the facts that all of this was Michael Brown’s fault, not a white police officer who was being physically assaulted. It’s just like an addict. They first need to acknowledge the facts before they can get help and the help needed in Ferguson is not racial warfare, but black parents spending more time raising their kids to be law abiding and respectful of others. Then and only then will there be any chance of peace in that community that is so filled with racial hatred.
