Former SNL Cast Member Jane Curtin Thinks She is Going to ‘Make Sure The Republican Party Dies’

The Republican Party has been around over 160 years, but has-been actress Jane Curtin thinks SHE is the one that will put an end to it.

No, she really thinks that.

Curtin disgorged this lunacy during an interview on CNN on New Year’s Eve.

The actress who most people thought was long dead was asked for her New Year’s resolution. She replied saying, “My New Years’ resolution is to make sure that the Republican Party dies.”

How exactly this leftist thinks she can do that, she didn’t say.

After all, it is a bit hard to see what monumental power a woman whose last notable job was back in the 1970s might have with which to lay low a national political party.

But it does bring up the rejoinder that Dan Aykroyd always used to utter during SNL’s “Weekend Update” segment: “Jane, you ignorant slut.”

Still, this is nothing new. Curtin has been highly political for years.

In fact, just recently she signed onto a letter coming to the support of molester and sex harasser Al Franken.

Amusingly, Curtin also slammed her deceased fellow SNL cast member, John Belushi, as a sexist.

Several years ago, Curtin claimed that Belushi thought that women were “just fundamentally not funny” and he worked to torpedo anything the women on the show tried to do.

“And so you’d go to a table read and if a woman writer had written the piece for John, he would not read it in his full voice. He would whisper it. He felt as though it was his duty to sabotage pieces that were written by women,” Curtin accused.
