Republicans should have listened to and supported Rep. Michele Bachmann, says Army Lt. Gen. William Jerry Boykin, retired.
According to Breitbart, Boykin said the Muslim Brotherhood has agents in the Department of Defense, the Pentagon and “in every major federal agency.”
Bachmann, and the other GOP members of Congress who signed her letter, were correct to question how Huma Abedin, who has acknowledged family ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, was vetted for a security clearance that allows her to work as the top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, according to Boykin.
Boykin’s statements come as GOP Sens. Johnny Isakson and Bob Corker of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee were seeking answers from Clinton about security procedures at the Libyan embassy and demanding to see all communications between the embassy and the State Department before the attack.
In a letter sent Tuesday to Clinton, the senators expressed their serious concerns about conflicting information coming from the Administration and the lack of security precautions even though the situation in Benghazi was known to have become more dangerous in the days leading up to the embassy attack.
“Despite these warnings, the State Department sought and received a waiver from the standard security requirements for the consulate,” the letter says.
The Administration has clearly been covering up what really happened in Libya. From Day One, it’s been obvious to anyone not in the Obama tank that it was a planned terrorist attack. Meanwhile, the Administration has been peddling the story that it was a “spontaneous” attack that developed during a demonstration against a YouTube video to anyone gullible enough to believe it, which mostly means the liberal media.
Witnesses have denied that there was any demonstration, the Libyan president has said publicly it was a planned attack not caused by a video, and the Daily Beast now reports that U.S. intelligence officials knew within a day that it was an al-Qaida plot and even knew the residence of one of those involved.
Yet here we are two weeks later, and Clinton just on Wednesday admitted there “may” be an al-Qaida connection. The New York Times, which is lead cheerleader for the Obama Administration, nearly choked on the story. Its first version online was heavily couched with terms like “suggested,” “possible link” and “may be a connection.” Later versions toned down the disbelief but kept the headline “Clinton Suggests Link to Qaeda Offshoot in Deadly Libya Attack.”
Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, in an interview Tuesday on Fox, said the Administration is hiding what really happened in Libya. “Why is he not on the same page with his own administration officials who are saying that this is a terrorist attack? We’ll leave it up to you to decide whether it’s a coverup or not,” Ryan said.
It’s a coverup. The only question I want answered is whether the coverup is being manipulated by Muslim agents inside the Administration with or without the approval of top officials.
