Burke County, Georgia, Sheriff Alfonzo Williams says that based on his experience in law enforcement and what he’s seen so far on the videos, the officers involved in the fatal shooting of Rayshard Brooks acted properly and their actions are “completely justified.” Sheriff Williams also said this case was very different than the Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd cases.
“There’s nothing malicious or sadistic in the way these officers behaved,” he says, adding that this case can’t be compared to those of Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd.
“We saw in the video that Brooks is engaged in a fight with the officers,” said Williams. “Brooks is able to take a non-lethal weapon, a Taser, away from one of the officers, and he flees,” “Brooks turned back to the officers and fired the Taser.”
Footage shows the deployed Taser apparently missed an officer. Williams said Brooks’ use of the device was extremely dangerous because it could have immobilized the officer for several seconds, possibly allowing Brooks to steal the officer’s gun or seriously injure him.
“If an officer is hit with that Taser, all of his muscles will be locked up, and he’ll have the inability to move and to respond,” Williams said. “This was a completely justified shooting.”
Sheriff Alfonzo Williams could not have explained this any clearer. No matter what color you are, if you fight with police officers, you are putting yourself in a situation for this to happen. They do not know your state of mind or what you are going to do. He already had taken the officers taser and was under the influence, anything could have happened.
This is not the same as what happened to George Floyd by any means. This shooting was 100% justified. Officers are not trained to knee cap suspects who are fighting back and putting their lives in danger. They also just would like to make it home at night.Don't forget to Like Godfather Politics on Facebook and Twitter, and visit our friends at RepublicanLegion.com.
