The social media giants are all lined up against anyone with a center right ideology, and they suspend people at will over the slightest purported infractions of their amorphous “rules.” But get ready for the dumbest case yet of Twitter’s claim that a conservative violated its rules.
This week the Daily Wire’s Jeremy Boreing was suspended from Twitter over a little joke he made about Brussels sprouts during a discussion. But just wait until you see what Twitter said violated its rules.
Ben Shapiro reported the idiotic situation on his own Twitter feed.
“This is legitimately the most insane Twitter suspension I have ever heard of,” Shapiro wrote on January 3.
“My business partner, @JeremyDBoreing, was just suspended for 12 hours for this tweet. Why? Because it was supposedly ‘promoting or encouraging self-harm.’ IT’S A JOKE ABOUT BRUSSELS SPROUTS. WTF @jack.”
So, what was this evil, Twitter-disrupting joke?
Well, Boreing was talking to someone about the best way to eat Brussels sprouts. But the Daily Wire man is no fan of the veggie and so, his “best way” is not to eat them at all.
However, he had a rather amusing and creative way not to eat them.
Boreing told his pal that the only way to cook Brussels sprouts is to sear them in a hot oil in a cast iron pan, then toss them away and use the hot pan to burn your own face off, “because even that would be better than Brussels sprouts.”

After that CLEAR joke, Twitter shut Boreing down. Why? Because he was supposedly suggesting that people should commit suicide.
Unbelievable. In the end, though, you know darn well that the only reason Boreing was shut down is because he is a conservative.
