Google is quickly becoming one of the biggest threats America faces in the world of online communications. And among a growing number of dangerous enemies, Google is topping the list, especially with the tech giant’s growing relationship with our chief rival, the oppressive Chinese communist government.
As Google increasingly sides with Beijing over the rights and freedoms of its American customers, the search and advertising giant is ramping up its autocratic control of what Americans are “allowed” to see and do online and is preparing to implement the same Internet control systems that the despotic Chinese use to oppress its own citizens.
Google has been working hand in iron glove to help the Chinese despots develop artificial intelligence systems for the officials there to track down and eliminate cultural dissenters online. But the Red Chinese do not limit their actions to the Internet as the oppression leaks over into the real world with Internet controls leading to arrests and imprisonment of citizens who “violate” China’s online rules. The Chinese are using the Internet as an extension of its police state, especially with its “social credit” system where Chinese citizens get credits and benefits by doing “the right things” online.
Of course, by “the right things,” Chinese officials mean things that support the communist Chinese agenda. And this is the exact same system that Google is planning to implement in the United States. But, instead of using the system to push the Chinese government’s agenda, it will be used to push the far-left, anti-American agenda… which really isn’t much different than the agenda serving the Chinese.
Recently at American Greatness writer Ned Ryun raised the alarm bells:
One such report by Mike Elgan in Fast Company explains that these social credit scores are meant to manipulate behavior and to achieve a desired end. Think of social credit score systems as tech companies and corporations creating their own system of right and wrong, their own moral code, that they will implement to achieve the behavior they want based on their worldview and faith system.
“The most disturbing attribute of a social credit system is not that ‘it’s invasive, but that ‘it’s extralegal,” Elgan writes. “Crimes are punished outside the legal system, which means no presumption of innocence, no legal representation, no judge, no jury, and often no appeal. In other words, ‘it’s an alternative legal system where the accused have fewer rights.”
Ryun notes that if this system is implemented in the U.S., it will have a heavy impact on our freedoms.
If this is allowed to hold in the United States, it will have serious implications for many things we take for granted; if you can travel and where; where you can stay; where you can eat. Those who refuse to conform will be stigmatized, ostracized from society. ‘Don’t believe me? ‘It’s happening in China right now.
Imagine imbuing Google with the power to decide what companies are allowed to offer hotels, or travel, or food services, or books, or… well, practically everything? How could it be possible for a single company to have that much power in the U.S.A.? And what will it mean for our freedom of movement, of commerce, and of disseminating information?
Ryun is exactly right with his final warning:
With every passing week, these companies are allowed to proceed unchecked in their blatant attempts to become the power in this country, to be the arbiters of speech and information flow, to be the deciders in national elections, while working with the Communists, we are tolerating ourselves to death. If we the people do not wake up, our republic will be over—and over much sooner than we think.
This is exactly right. It would be one thing if Google’s sole goal were to push commerce and enrich itself with all that power, but Google has a distinctly political goal in mind. It doesn’t want merely to make money. Google wants to fully control the political agenda in the U.S.A., and it is willing to thoroughly oppress and destroy its political opposition in the doing. And with the power it increasingly wields, it has the power to destroy… and its target is us, dear conservatives.
