GOP Blasts Democrat Star Witness For Invoking Barron To Attack Trump

One of the Dems’ star witnesses, Pamela Karlan, invoked Barron Trump’s name during Wednesday’s House Judiciary Committee hearing in an attempt to attack President Trump, drawing immediate criticisms from Republicans.

Stanford Law School professor Pamela Karlan unexpectedly mentioned Trump’s 13-year-old son Barron during today’s impeachment hearing in an effort to explain the difference between Trump’s position as president and that of a king.

“Kings could do no wrong because the king’s word was law. Contrary to what President Trump has said, Article Two does not give him the power to do anything he wants. I will give you one example that shows the difference between him and a king, which is, the Constitution says there can be no titles of nobility. While the president can name his son Barron, he can’t make him a baron.”
