The 2009 film The Blind Side comes to mind every time a Republican cuts the feet out from under another Republican. The GOP has been reluctant to fight for and with President Trump against the evil Democrat Party. Many of them would love to see him go so things can get back to normal so the GOP and Democrats can exchange perks for their different money bases.
Planned Parenthood should have been defunded when the GOP controlled all three branches of government.
The latest example of letting the opposition cut down a Republican is how House Republican Majority leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) forced Rep. Steve King (R-IA) out of his leadership position. The claim was made that King supported White Nationalism and White Supremacism.
When I heard the charge against Rep. King, I found the charge hard to believe. As usual, the GOP leadership folded. You would never find the Democrats doing such a thing. No matter what a Democrat does or says, the Democrats stick with him or her no matter what.
Have the Democrats done anything to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who used rape language to describe how she was going to implement her radical Socialist agenda or to Democrat Rashida Tlaib for saying about Trump “we’re gonna impeach that motherf***er”?
This isn’t to say that if a Republican did something immoral that he or she should not be censured and lose leadership positions.
They never gave Rep. King a chance to explain:
There’s a Bible verse about how charges against someone should be handled:
The first to plead his case seems right,
Until another comes and examines him (Prov. 18:17).
McCarthy is not a good guy. He’s turning out to be a Paul Ryan clone. “McCarthy and his allies on the Republican Steering Committee have booted conservative Rep. Jody Hice (R-Ga.) off of the Armed Services Committee, making good on a vow to retaliate after the Freedom Caucus member voted for Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) for Speaker.”
What about King’s comments about White Nationalism and White Supremacism. The following is a Press Release from Rep. King.

“Leader McCarthy’s decision to remove me from committees is a political decision that ignores the truth.
The truth is as follows:
One of my quotes in a New York Times story has been completely mischaracterized. Here’s the context I believe accurately reflects my statement.
In a 56-minute interview, we discussed the changing use of language in political discourse. We discussed the worn out label “racist” and my observation that other slanderous labels have been increasingly assigned to Conservatives by the Left, who injected into our current political dialog such terms as Nazi, Fascist, ‘White Nationalist, White Supremacist,— Western Civilization, how did THAT language become offensive? Why did I sit in classes teaching me about the merits of our history and our civilization?’… just to watch Western Civilization become a derogatory term in political discourse today. Clearly, I was only referencing Western Civilization classes. No one ever sat in a class listening to the merits of white nationalism and white supremacy.
When I used the word ‘THAT’ it was in reference ONLY to Western Civilization and NOT to any previously stated evil ideology, ALL of which I have denounced. My record as a vocal advocate for Western Civilization is nearly as full as my record in defense of Freedom of Speech.
Ultimately, I told him ‘You have to do what you have to do and I will do what I have to do.’ I will continue to point out the truth and work with all the vigor that I have to represent 4th District Iowans for at least the next two years.”
