If the GOP establishment was dismayed that 5 million Republicans did not vote in 2012, they’re really going to be depressed when even more stay home if Jeb Bush is at the top of the ticket in 2016.
Conservatives who don’t show up at the pools for the the presidential pick won;t be there for the Senate and House.
There is no doubt that Jeb Bush will position himself as a conservative. In his time as governor or Florida, he was conservative. In point of fact, the judges he nominated were more conservative than those of George.
But Jeb has surrounded himself with pro-homosexual advisers and big money donors who want to get control of the spending apparatus so they can finance their pet projects for fun and profit and our expense:
“When Bush officially launches his presidential bid later this year, he will likely do so with a campaign manager who has urged the Republican Party to adopt a pro-gay agenda; a chief strategist who signed a Supreme Court amicus brief arguing for marriage equality in California; a longtime adviser who once encouraged her minister to stick to his guns in preaching equality for same-sex couples; and a communications director who is openly gay.
“To an extent that would have been unthinkable in past elections, one of the leading candidates for the Republican presidential nomination has stocked his inner circle with advisers who are vocal proponents of gay rights. And while the Bush camp says his platform will not be shaped by his lieutenants’ personal beliefs, many in the monied, moderate, corporate wing of the GOP — including pragmatic donors, secular politicos, and other members of the establishment — are cheering the early hires as a sign that Bush will position himself as the gay-friendly Republican in the 2016 field.”
The biblical adage is true, “bad company corrupts good morals” (1 Cor. 15:33).
If Jeb goes gay on the GOP, the Republican Party will die. That’s not a bad thing if there’s an alternative, and at the movement there’s nothing near to an alternative.
The number of pro-homosexual judges will fundamentally transform America. Holding an anti-homosexual, anti-same sex marriage position will get you in serious legal trouble if the courts continue to rule in favor of same-sex rights. There’s even a good chance that job applicants will be required to sign a statement that they support same-sex rights or not be hired. Companies will be forced to discriminate against those who oppose same-sex sexuality or be forced out of business.
Law schools will not graduate lawyers who are not pro-homosexual. Those who oppose same-sex marriage will not be permitted to take the bar exam, or if they are permitted to take it, they will not be able to practice law unless they profess acceptance to the same-sex agenda.
This is not an exaggeration. We’ve seen what judges have done to states that overwhelmingly passed laws prohibiting same-sex marriage and what has happened to business owners who refused to offer their services to same-sex weddings.
In California, judges will not be permitted to work with the Boy Scouts. California’s judicial code of conduct is being rewritten so that working with the Boy Scouts will come under a provision that prohibits being involved with an “invidiously discriminatory organization.”
The GOP Establishment is working overtime to pick off any viable alternative to Jeb Bush. It must silence the Establishment naysayers. McConnell and Boehner are looking for Establishment allies. They will even work with Democrats to crush any Tea Party opposition. Look what they did in Mississippi to Chris McDaniel.
Consider what’s happening to conservatives who vote for Boehner so he could retain his Speaker position. Erick Erickson at RedState is reporting that n Georgia, Boehner’s lap dogs at the American Action Network “have already begun running ads against Congressmen Barry Loudermilk and Jody Hice. Loudermilk and Hice, who voted for Boehner as Speaker, are now being attacked by Speaker Boehner’s outside interests. Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-KS) of Kansas is in the same boat along with Rep. Jim Bridenstine (R-OK) and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH).”
The Establishment GOP wants to get its hands on the money. “Follow the money” is the operating road map in American politics, “for the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil” (1 Tim. 6:10).Don't forget to Like Godfather Politics on Facebook and Twitter, and visit our friends at RepublicanLegion.com.
