Guess Who Just Smacked Down Planned Parenthood?

Poor little Planned Parenthood is having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week.

Or at least that’s what they want you to believe. In actuality, the people in charge of the organization that is not only the leading killer of children but a key contributor to the leading cause of death (don’t strain your brain, libs, it’s abortion) annually in the United States are probably cackling in their sleep even as they weep crocodile tears publicly.

In case you’ve been living under a rock the past week, we’ve been treated to two media-hyped mass shootings, the first at a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs, the second in San Bernardino.

The first left three dead, the second 14, plus a couple of actual terrorists (not the “Christian” kind).

No actual Planned Parenthood personnel or patients were harmed during the filming of these two propaganda events.

Because that’s what they’ve become. Never mind the actual human tragedy of 19 lives lost and dozens injured, somehow this has all become about Planned Parenthood, which has a clinic less than a mile from the scene of the San Bernardino shooting (thanks for letting us know, MSNBC).

I won’t even review the labyrinth of tortured logic displayed by the media or the Left over the past week; it would be too much like performing surgery without anesthetic. But from “no more baby parts” we have been forced down a path that has culminated in a New York Daily News headline, “God Isn’t Fixing This,” in which every media-celebrated mass murder of the past 10 years is blamed on Jesus, the GOP, the NRA, Christians and Donald Trump, and the actual goal of the Left is finally made clear.

It’s not gun control, it’s God control — that’s what it’s all about.

Notice lack of the name “Allah.” Because by linking the San Bernardino shootings somehow to Planned Parenthood and the Christian pro-life movement, it’s the Father, Son and Holy Spirit the Left is going after, not the desert god of Islam, which is absolved yet again by President Obama’s benediction about “workplace violence.”

Given all of this, it’s more than a little amazing that the Senate yesterday had the guts to defund Planned Parenthood in a 52-47 vote on a bill that also dismantles Obamacare.

To be clear, there is not a snowball’s chance in hell that anything in that bill will survive the inevitable presidential veto.

But they did it anyway.

Sen. Richard Shelby said, “The value is to let him know — the president — and others that there’s a big division in this country, and a lot of us don’t like it, and the American people don’t like it.”

Talk about shaking your fist at the barbarian hordes.

Planned Parenthood, industrial-strength killer of children, is proving to be a virtuoso manipulator of the media. It will no doubt turn that vote to its propaganda advantage. But amid the pity party for Planned Parenthood (and to a lesser extent Muslims), something interesting is happening.

The battle lines are finally being clearly drawn.

Usually, that precedes a battle, and with the clear threat of serious gun control being rolled down the tracks at lovers of the Constitution it’s pretty clear what the immediate excuse will be.
