Gun Restrictive States Making Victims of Their Citizens

Why would anyone want to live in a state that makes it nearly impossible for them to protect themselves against attackers? Why would any man have his family live in a state that makes his wife and daughter(s) more susceptible to being raped?

Consider states like Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and the District of Columbia that have some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation. Their state laws making and completing an obstacle course like you see on American Ninja to be an easier task than actually obtaining a permit to own or purchase a fire. Depending on where you live, it’s not a cheap venture to pursue either and could cost you hundreds, perhaps thousands in application and permit fees and mandated firearms courses.

Then in many of these anti-Second Amendment locations, you are required to keep your legally purchased gun unloaded and locked up in a gun safe. How much sense does that make if you want to have a gun for self-protection? Are you supposed to ask an intruder to wait while you go open your gun safe and load your gun before they continue their assault on you and your family? If you are caught with an already loaded gun ready to use in fending off an intruder, you will be arrested and charged with a crime, possibly a felony and your gun will be confiscated and you won’t ever be able to own one again.

In other words, every home in states like Maryland is an open invitation to home intruders and their evil intents. They don’t care about breaking the law by carrying a loaded gun, but they are secure in knowing that you, as a law abiding citizen, won’t be armed or able to stop them.

Proponents of gun control argue that outlawing more guns and making it harder to purchase and own others will make your area a safer place to live. Just consider what has happened to the United Kingdom over the years.

The United Kingdom has passed a series of anti-gun laws over the years. Starting with the Firearms Act of 1920, followed by the Firearms Act of 1937, 1988 and 1997, they have banned all handguns. The only rifles or shotguns allowed are those used strictly for hunting, but obtaining a permit to own one is not an easy task. They have made NO provision for anyone to own a firearm to be used for self-defense.

You may not have heard of the resulting violence, but the UK has had their fair share of mass shootings and most of them were still committed by legally purchased firearms. According to the Daily Mail Online, by 2009, Great Britain was the most violent country in all of Europe and even had worse rates of all types of violence than the United States and South Africa.

You won’t hear Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Dianne Feinstein or Michael Bloomberg share that about the United Kingdom. Nor will the liberal mainstream media report what’s happening in the Queen’s country. It’s interesting that Obama keeps pointing to Great Britain as a great example for things like healthcare, but he never says a word for their violence.

With this information, if you live in a gun hating city, county or state, realize that you are living in an area that could be a buffet for rapist, child molesters and home intruders. You and your family are being left defenseless by politicians that care nothing about your safety or constitutional right to protect yourself.

How important is the safety and well-being of your family to you? Is your job more important than they are? I know jobs are hard to come by these days, but losing a family member is irreplaceable. If I were you, I would give this some serious thought and start job searching in gun friendly states that will allow you to protect yourself and your family and thus make it less likely that you’ll be a victim.
