House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said she personally would support lowering the national voting age to 16.
“I myself have always been for lowering the voting age to 16,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said. “I think it’s really important to capture kids when they’re in high school when they’re interested in all of this when they’re learning about government, to be able to vote.”
FYI, capture is the keyword here.

WASHINGTON — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said at her weekly press conference Thursday she personally would support lowering the national voting age to 16.
“I myself, personally, I’m not speaking for my caucus, I myself have always been for lowering the voting age to 16,” Pelosi said when asked by The Daily Caller about her thoughts on the issue. “I think it’s really important to capture kids when they’re in high school when they’re interested in all of this when they’re learning about government to be able to vote.”
“Some of the priorities in this bill are about transparency and openness and accessibility, and the rest,” she added. “That’s a subject of debate but my view is that I would welcome it, but I’ve been in that position for a long time.” More
Lowering the voting age is possibly one of the dumbest things I have heard!!! I know a bunch of 16 year olds and I don’t trust them watcing my kids let alone making decisions about government. Especially considering the watered down BS being taught in schools. #rasiethevotingage

Get them while they are still in high school before the indoctrination wears off and the socialist teachers can still greatly influence how they vote.
I believe the voting age needs to be increased back to 21. Sixteen is too young to vote, to serve jury duty, drink alcohol, or smoke cigarettes.
So then the drinking age, smoking age, age of consent, age to own a weapon should change to 16 as well..

Obviously, the woman has not lived with someone of that age recently. Loads of drama, peer pressure, impulsiveness and very little real thought.

If you can vote you should be able to smoke, drink, get conscripted and own any firearms. I bet you she’s not in favor of any of that. Separate ages to do separate things is getting too much. 21 seems like a great age for all those to start. Either you’re an adult or you’re not.
