Howard Dean Says Scott Walker is ‘Unknowledgeable’ and Not Qualified to be President

Isn’t it amazing how all of a sudden liberals are interested in the college careers of presidential candidates? Where was all this interest when Barack Obama was running for president? Have we ever seen a transcript? Obama has never released his college records.

Now that two-time elected Governor Scott Walker is considering running for president, his college years have become a campaign issue for Howard “The Screamer” Dean:

“Democratic commentator Howard Dean, the former Vermont governor who rose and fell quickly in the 2004 presidential race, sounded . . . like he thinks a college degree should be a prerequisite for holding the top job in the White House.

“Dean said on MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe’ that Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s three and a half years of college make him ‘unknowledgeable.’”

“Unknowledgeable?” Is college the only place a person attains knowledge? Give me a break. I graduated from college in 1973. I’ve learned a great deal more since 1973 than I ever did in college. By the way, Walker only had another semester or so to complete before graduating. Does this mean it’s that last semester and a diploma that makes someone “knowledgeable”?

Has Scott Walker been unknowledgeable as a two-time governor?

For Dean, “knowledgeable” means liberal. A person who would oppose labor unions that hold voters and businesses hostage and question the theory of spontaneous generation, also known as abiogenesis, but more popularly disguised as evolution, is by the liberal lexicon unknowledgeable.

I sat next to Gov. Walker at a dinner when he was going through his recall election. Around the table were college educated men that included at least one doctor and several lawyers as well as highly successful businessmen. At no time during the two hours when we were speaking with and listening to the governor did any of us get the impression that he was unknowledgeable.

Is Dean an idiot, or does he just play the idiot for talk shows?

I have to give Scarborough and his panel credit; they didn’t let Dean get away with his unknowledgeable comment:

You can tell Dean was uncomfortable with his own unknowledgeable claim. He stumbled and stammered quite a bit. The claim was beginning to sound ridiculous even to him.

One more point needs to be made. Nearly all the politicians, including presidents, who graduated from college and law school have gotten us into wars, crashed the economy numerous times, created the welfare State, and turned our educational system into a politically correct propaganda institution that’s more interested in teaching children the glories of gay sex than math, science, reading, literature, history, and logic.

Take a look sometime at David Halberstam’s The Best and the Brightest (1972).

“The focus of the book is on the erroneous foreign policy crafted by the academics and intellectuals who were in John F. Kennedy’s administration, and the disastrous consequences of those policies in Vietnam. The title referred to Kennedy’s ‘whiz kids’ — leaders of industry and academia brought into the Kennedy administration — whom Halberstam characterized as arrogantly insisting on ‘brilliant policies that defied common sense’ in Vietnam, often against the advice of career U.S. Department of State employees.”

Maybe it’s time for a president who doesn’t have a college degree. It seems to me that it’s been the college graduates that have screwed up everything.
