Huckabee on Sessions: ‘People are Losing Patience’

Jeff Sessions’ seat is starting to warm up as he feels the heat to get his job done.

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee said of Sessions that “we are all going to lose patience with the attorney general” for his lack of prosecution of people that should have been, such as Lois Lerner and Peter Strzok.

“I love Jeff Sessions. I think he is a great guy, but he has got to do the job he is there to do,” Huckabee added.

He said Sessions, a former Alabama senator, must “enforce the law… universally. Without regard to who the person is.”

Huckabee said Sessions may be holding off on prosecuting Lerner, the former IRS employee allegedly implicated in the conservative nonprofit targeting scandal, or Strzok, the FBI agent who sent anti-Trump texts to his mistress, because he does not want to be perceived of “partisanship.”

“[But] this isn’t about partisanship, this is about justice,” Huckabee added.

“This is a dangerous place,” he said of allegations against Strzok and Lerner. “This is the kind of thing you see in totalitarian countries where the power of the government is used to step on your political enemies.”

He also reacted to criticism of his daughter, who recently posted a photograph of her going trap shooting.
