Republican Congressman Devin Nunes (R-CA) may have just said the truest thing that anyone in Washington, D.C. has ever uttered.
Speaking to Maria Bartiromo on Fox News this past Sunday morning the House Intelligence Committee Chairman said, “Whatever the left accuses you of doing, they’re doing themselves.”
Nunes was invited on to the show to speak about the Democratic National Committee’s lawsuit accusing the Trump campaign, Russia, Wikileaks, and other parties of conspiring to hack the DNC and release Clinton campaign emails ahead of the election.
Nunes told Bartiromo that when he first heard the news of the lawsuit he was flabbergasted and thought that it was likely just a joke. He reasoned that the only people proven to have worked with Russia during the 2016 election were the Democrats themselves, so they should be the only party included in this lawsuit.
“My first thought is, ‘is this some kind of joke? This must be a joke!’ We know who colluded with Russians. They don’t want to admit it, but they hired Fusion GPS that hired a British spy who went and colluded with Russians. So they should name themselves, and sue to find out what do they have on their servers, why didn’t they give those servers to the FBI?
This is nothing more and nothing less than a continuation of fundraising off of this scandal. So the far left will continue to write checks because they don’t believe the president won fair and square.
Because most of the media in this country have continued this narrative…
That Trump was somehow involved with Putin and worked to steal this election. We’ve now looked at all this. None of that is true. But Democrats need a way to keep their base motivated to turn out in November and to continue to raise money. They’re raising hundreds of millions over this Russia fiasco.
I always like to say, whatever the left accuses you of doing, they’re doing themselves. That’s exactly what you have here.”
Like I said, truer words were never spoken.

Here is DNC Chairman Tom Perez on why they were filing their ridiculous lawsuit.
Why did the @DNC file a civil lawsuit against the Trump campaign and Russia? DNC Chair @TomPerez: "This government didn't impose sufficient costs because they were conspiring with the government of Russia, and we have to deter this conduct… that's why we're doing this." pic.twitter.com/8ADBiMWNd7
