Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar now faces backlash for her now-deleted tweet about ‘merit-based immigration.’
“A ‘merit based’ immigration policy is fueled by racism towards the Latinx community. Our immigration policies shouldn’t be based on discrimination, fear, or bigotry. We should welcome immigrants to our country and offer a simple way to citizenship.”
Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN) just deleted this tweet where she appeared to suggest that Latinos can’t measure up in a “merit-based” immigration system. pic.twitter.com/ak9EKVdN0i

Sen. Ted Cruz slammed Rep. Ilhan Omar over a since-deleted tweet that suggested Latino immigrants aren’t capable of competing in a merit-based immigration system:
“As the son of a Cuban immigrant whose Dad came to get a math degree & become a computer programmer, I’m troubled that Dems seem to believe Hispanic immigrants can’t qualify for skills-based legal immigration. Bringing in more scientists, engineers & doctors is good for US jobs.”

Rep. Ilhan Omar does not get it. Unskilled illegal migrants are a burden on American taxpayers. She may have been educated in the US but she certainly did not learn much. She is the poster child on why our immigration and refugee programs need to be changed.
Twitter had a few words for her:
And this is what you see frequently from Democratic politicians, a not so subtle racism. Same thing with the “it’s voter suppression” of minorities if you require voter ID. Why? Are you saying they can’t/aren’t able to get ID?

I love that people have to tell her when she’s being racist or anti-Semitic.

I picked up on that, too. Even though I’m half Hispanic & was raised by my white side, I still understand what she did. I have friends from South America & took Spanish in high school. What’s up with LatinX? I’m pretty offended by it & Spanish isn’t even my first language!

The regugee herself Omar is an example of what the US has brought upon themselves. The line between our rights and our obligations to this great nation which plucked her out of her own misery is the same country which she now criticizes and calls racist. Only in America.

She knows she would have never made it on merit.

Right now…all these invaders have to do is say they are seeking asylum…with or without bogus children…and they are vetted into the country and given a summons to appear in court 6 years later…so they walk out the door and they are gone….how can that be racist??
