MSNBC’s host Joe Scarborough declared on Tuesday morning that he never heard President Trump utter a racist word in the 12 years that they were friends.
“We [gestures toward Mika] saw him for 12 years behind closed doors. Never, ever, once—I’ll say under oath, I’ll put into an affidavit—never once heard him say anything close to being racially insensitive. Never once!”

Given how Joe Scarborough has vilified Donald Trump for years, the Morning Joe host could be the world’s least likely character witness for the President.
But ironically, Scarborough’s overt animus toward Trump makes him that much more credible when he says something positive about the President—as he did on today’s Morning Joe. Scarborough swore that—having known Trump for 12 years—he had never in private heard him utter a racially-insensitive word.
Which is not to say that Scarborough was absolving Trump from allegedly playing the race card. To the contrary, Scarborough’s point was to bemoan that whereas in private Trump can be congenial and non-racist, the President has supposedly made a conscious decision to adopt a combative, race-baiting public persona. Joe needs to check his race-baiting tongue. That’s not nice to say the president never once said anything racist and then in the next breath state he has chosen to adopt a racist persona in public.
President Trump didn’t make it part of his political persona. The media did that in an effort to keep him from getting elected. Now they continue the lie in hopes he won’t be reelected.
The left and liberal MSM paint everyone they do not like as racists. They try to make everyone they do not like despicable characters. The truly despicable people are the liberals that use character assassination as part of their propaganda arsenal.
My guess is he doesn’t want to be lumped in with the rest of ‘fake news’ mainstream media that’s made fools of themselves lately.
