Judge Issues Order on Gender Identity Referendum Petition in Houston

We have more good news. Republican State District Judge Brent Gamble signed the Writ of Mandamus to compel the City of Houston Secretary to start counting the 22,173 signed petitions in order to qualify the petition to define “Gender Identity” for the November ballot. The referendum petition was initiated by Dave Wilson, Founder and President of Houstonians for Family Values.

This petition, when either passed by city council or by the voters, will prohibit men from using the women’s restroom, and vice versa.  Gender will be defined as the gender assigned at birth.

This referendum petition was initiated after Houston’s lesbian mayor Parker’s “Sexual Predator Protection” ordinance was passed which would allow transvestite men like Bruce Jenner who states that he is still attracted to women to claim that they are women and enter women’s public restrooms, locker rooms, and shower facilities.

This places women and girls in harm’s way.  We must prevent transvestites, like Bruce Jenner, from entering public bathrooms, showers, and locker rooms where our wives, daughters, and granddaughters may be using the facilities. It is absurd that we are even having this debate.

On July 24, the Texas Supreme Court ruled the following:

“[T]he legislative power reserved to the people of Houston is not being honored. The City Council is directed to comply with its duties as specified in the City Charter that arise when the City Secretary certifies that a referendum petition has a sufficient number of valid signatures. Any enforcement of the [Equal Rights] ordinance will be suspended… If the City Council does not repeal the ordinance by August 24, 2015, then by that date the City Council must order that the ordinance be put to popular vote during the November 2015 election.”

This means that unless the Houston City Council repeals the ordinance, the citizens of Houston will have the right to vote on Mayor Parker’s personal, liberal, pro-homosexual agenda this November.

He who says to the wicked, ‘You are righteous,’ peoples will curse him, nations will abhor him, but to those who rebuke the wicked will be delight, and a good blessing will come upon them (Prov. 24:24–25).

Last year, Houston’s lesbian mayor Annise Parker and the Houston City Council passed an ordinance that violates religious freedom of businesses and individuals, grants minority status to those who choose to participate in homosexual activities, and allows men (if they claim to be transgender or feel like they are a woman that day) to use women’s public restrooms and locker rooms. This is the reason that the ordinance was known as the ‘Sexual Predator Protection Act’ by the opponents of the ordinance.

So now there may be two referendums regarding homosexuality on the November 2015 city ballot: (1) a referendum election to repeal Mayor Parker’s pro-homosexual amendment, and (2) a referendum on prohibiting males from using women’s public restrooms, showers and locker room facilities.

The goal of the homosexual political movement is to bring about moral and sexual anarchy in America. It intends to destroy all biblical moral absolutes and undermine the moral fabric of our society. It is a wicked political movement. It must be opposed and defeated soundly.

Through God’s help, we will win both referendum elections. We are also organizing to replace all the pro-homosexual members of city council with God-fearing Christians. We will also elect Ben Hall as the new mayor.

“Through God’s help we shall do valiantly, and it is He who will tread down our adversaries”(Psalm 108:13).
