Congresswoman Katie Hill resigns amid allegations of inappropriate relationships with staffers. She announced her resignation on Twitter.
“This is what needs to happen so that the good people who supported me will no longer be subjected to the pain inflicted by my abusive husband and the brutality of hateful political operatives who seem to happily provide a platform to a monster who is driving a smear campaign built around cyber exploitation.”
It is with a broken heart that today I announce my resignation from Congress. This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do, but I believe it is the best thing for my constituents, my community, and our country.

“It is with a broken heart that today I announce my resignation from Congress,” Hill wrote in a statement she shared on Twitter.
“This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do, but I believe it is the best thing for my constituents, my community, and our country.”
The freshman lawmaker was also the target of a House Ethics Committee probe over allegations she was romantically involved with her current legislative director, Graham Kelly.
Hill had vehemently denied being involved with Kelly — which would be a violation of House rules — but did admit to a sexual relationship with former campaign staffer Morgan Desjardins while married to her estranged husband, Kenny Heslep. More
Once again, the Democrats are enlarging America’s vocabulary with deviant words I never needed to learn the meaning of.

Are you going to apologize?
— Saladino for Congress (@JoeySalads) October 27, 2019
If you start by apologizing for this massive bit of hypocrisy, it would go a long way with some people. We are all human, the human part of you did not get you in trouble, the hypocritical part of you did. pic.twitter.com/ow8e9SSbrs

Translation: After committing serial adultery on my husband with men and women—including one of my staff—I am resigning a few weeks before the Ethics Committee releases a scathing indictment of my unethical, immoral, & disgusting behavior. I need to spend more time with my bong.
