Left Loses It: Rocker Chrissie Hynde Compliments Trump, Admits Allowing Limbaugh to Use Her Song

Rocker Chrissie Hynde tempted the left’s displeasure by saying nice things about President Trump and admitted that she allowed conservative talk show giant Rush Limbaugh to use her song as his theme.

The Pretenders frontwoman penned an open letter saying that her late father would have “enjoyed” Donald Trump’s presidency and would also have loved seeing Rush Limbaugh receive the Medal of Freedom.

“Dear Mr. President, I often think of how much my father, Melville ‘Bud’ Hynde, who proudly served his country as a Marine on Guadalcanal, would have enjoyed your Presidency,” the 1980s rock star tweeted on Tuesday — adding the president’s Twitter handle.

Hynde also admitted that her father loved Rush Limbaugh especially when Rush used Hynde’s song, My City Was Gone as a theme song.

“But isn’t that the American way? The right to disagree without having your head chopped off?” Hynde added.

The 68-year-old guitarist and singer went on to use her tweet to plead for the president to pardon WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

But many liberals were not very happy to see Hynde’s even-handed style of political discourse.
