Parents are furious after a left-wing teacher at a California high school kicked a teen out of history class because the kid dared to wear a National Rifle Association t-shit to school. THIS is the intolerance infesting our fetid school systems nation wide, folks.
According to reports, a sophomore at Lodi High School in Northern California was forced out of his history class by a left-wing teacher who was incensed by the NRA shirt and who seems to know nothing about history!
According to the Daily Mail:
A sophomore in Northern California was made to leave class while another was lectured, for wearing T-shirts promoting the National Rifle Association.
The teens were in history class at Lodi High School on Friday, when they said they were singled out for wearing shirts featuring shotgun shell casings laid out in the shape of an American flag.
“She was basically being attacked in class,” Charlene Craig, the mother of the 15-year-old who remained in the classroom, told CBS.
“I don’t think that makes it a safe learning environment,” she said.
But worse than even being kicked out of class, the teacher stood there and belittled one of the kids over the shirt. Indeed, he threatened to punish the kid with “an essay” if the kid tried to argue over the shirt.
“He basically yelled at her, telling her that she would be writing an essay if she disagreed with him,” Mrs. Craig said.
This is unacceptable! We can’t have teachers threatening to punish kids because the kids don’t agree with the teacher’s politics. Further more, essays should be seen as serious work, not “punishment”!
Ultimately, the school later admitted that the shirts in question did not violate the district’s dress codes.
The codes do not allow explicit pictures of guns or guns being used, but Lodi authorities said that merely having the word “rifle” as part of the name of the National Rifle Association did not violate the rules. School officials also promised to re-train teachers on what is and isn’t allowed as far as the dress code is concerned.
