President Trump is being praised as a “man of faith” by former representative Michele Bachmann at the Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C. on Saturday.
Liberals, of course, are foaming at the mouth to hear a claim that our president is not only a man of faith, but for the praises to be coming from a woman. GASP. Because, you know, Trump is grossly sexist, according to liberals.
Bachmann mirror Mike Pence’s words to explain how she feels about the president and his faith.
She said, “We were in a meeting with the vice president and the president, about 25 of us. I know the vice president. I served with him in Congress, and he is a vocal, committed believer of Jesus Christ himself. And he said, ‘I want all of you to know that the president is a committed believer. He is a man of faith.'”
The Hill reports:
Bachmann went on to say that Trump is observant of God’s authority over his life and presidency, which “should give us a lot of hope,” she said, arguing that faith “helps regulate our behavior.”
Trump, who enjoyed broad support from evangelical Christians in the 2016 election, reportedly said ‘sure’ when faith leaders asked to pray for Trump in the Oval Office, Bachmann recounted. “We put our hands around him respectfully and we prayed for him.”
Trump himself spoke at the Values Voter Conference on Friday, saying: “We are stopping cold the attacks on Judeo-Christian values,” to applause from the conservative crowd.
This is not the first time that the former rep. praised Trump’s faith. She once says that his election victory is “proof positive of what the Lord did.”
I agree, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Trump is a blessed man that God placed in office.
