Liberal Politicians Say Obamacare Not Socialistic Enough To Work

As Obamacare is implemented piece by piece, more and more people, including liberal politicians are recognizing that it will not accomplish what it was intended to and that thousands of Americans will die every year because of it.

It’s interesting to hear the liberals say this because conservatives warned that this would happen before the Affordable Care Act was ever passed into law.  We warned them that costs would spiral out of control and that millions of Americans will become uninsured because they can’t afford it.  The more people that don’t have insurance means the more people will not seek expensive medical treatment and will die earlier than necessary.  Some argue that one of the goals of Obamacare is to get Americans to die sooner so they won’t be a burden to the government.

Two liberal Representatives and one Senator, Rep. Johnn Conyers (D-MI), Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), are speaking out against Obamacare.  However, their alternative solution is a single-payer system like they have in Canada.

Sanders, who describes himself as a socialist spoke on the issues saying:

“The issue that we’re talking about today is about fundamental rights,” he said. “And it is about ending the disgrace, the national disgrace that the United States of America remains the only major country on earth that does not guarantee health care to our people as a right of citizenship.”

“Health care is absolutely a human right, whether you’re rich, whether you’re poor or whether you are in the middle class.”

Robert Weissman, President of Public Citizen spoke about the failure of Obamacare saying:

“Is this realistic after the passage of the Affordable Care Act?  This is what we know is going to happen after the Affordable Care Act is implemented.”

“However well it goes, whatever hiccups it has, two things are sure to happen.  One, millions of people are going to remain uncovered. And the best-case scenario, millions of people will remain uncovered, which means thousands of people will die every year from a lack of health insurance coverage.”

“The second thing we know is that the private insurance companies are going to maintain control of our health care system, and we know that that means that costs will remain spiraling. Costs will continue to go out of control.”

“So it is the realists who call for a single-payer system.  It is the realists who say the time is coming, sooner rather than later.”

They admit that Obamacare won’t work and will result in the premature deaths of thousands, perhaps millions of Americans.  The reason, according to them is that Obamacare is not socialistic enough to work.  It needs to be in complete control of the government, exclude private insurance providers and make everyone a ward of the state by placing everyone under Medicare, not just seniors 65 and over.

Of course there’s only one way to afford such a system and that is to raise taxes on every single person in the United States.  Instead of paying several hundred dollars a month to insurance companies, everyone would be paying that money to Uncle Obama’s government.  If you listen to these socialist liberals, then everyone would be covered, happy and live forever or for however long Uncle Obama wants you to live, as they will have the final say.
