The ink on reports that President Trump will meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un for high-level talks geared toward a nuclear-free Korean peninsula had scarcely dried before critics in the mainstream media began citing the potential downsides of such a meeting.
Samantha Vinograd, former senior adviser to the national security adviser under Barack Obama, appeared on CNN’s “Erin Burnett OutFront,” where she laid out the many pitfalls of the meeting (via conservative political comedian Tim Young):
