A man now suspected of committing a brutal murder had been let free by liberal Seattle prosecutors 34 times for “rehabilitation.”
Seattle Police think that well-known homeless man Travis Berge killed a 30-year-old woman on Thursday morning. Police were called about a body in the city’s Cal Anderson Park, and officials then went on the hunt for Berge, the Post Millennial reported.
Officials soon found Berge in a nearby building. At first, they thought he was barricaded in the building, but after a SWAT team entered, they found the suspect at the bottom of a tank that contained 50 gallons of water and bleach.
A HAZMAT crew was then called in to try and make sense of the situation.

KOMO News reported that officials said the still unidentified woman was in a relationship with the suspected killer.
Berge became known from a documentary entitled, Seattle Is Dying, that found that the man had already been arrested and released 34 times in only six years.
The man was a meth user and known to terrorize local residents with violent outbursts. But instead of convicting Berge and putting him in jail, time and again local prosecutors diverted him to “treatment.”
Berge was named in a report from 2019 identifying him as one of Seattle’s worst “prolific offenders.”
The murdered woman may be Lilith Samhein, a woman with whom Berge noted he was in a relationship in social media posts.
