Mark Levin’s CRTV Merging with Glenn Beck’s The Blaze to Create Newest Conservative Powerhouse

Glenn Beck’s TheBlaze and CRTV — featuring conservative commentator Mark Levin — today announced their merger into the newly named Blaze Media.

According to the announcement, “The new company will have a monthly multiplatform reach of over 165 million, and will be the largest independent, traditionally conservative multiplatform media company in the United States.”

TheBlaze founder Glenn Beck praised the move, noting, “The combination of the exceptional roster of TheBlaze and CRTV talent means Blaze Media will now be as broad and ideologically diverse as the audiences we serve. Conservatives, libertarians, constitutionalists, and more have a home at Blaze Media. Our hosts will have differences, but we share a common belief in free expression, honest discourse and a society founded in the principles of the Bill of Rights. I’m beyond thrilled about this merger.”

Radio personality and Fox News host Mark Levin also chimed in saying:

Mark Levin, founder of LevinTV, also lauded the move, saying, “Tens of millions of Americans have had it with the biased, ideologically-driven mainstream media outlets that sanctimoniously advance their own agendas under the guise of ‘news’ and ‘journalism.’ Conservatives actually believe in a free press and the rest of the Constitution. This is why I started LevinTV, which grew into the CRTV digital network. In order to further expand and offer the public an alternative to liberal media group-think, I’m very excited about the merger of TheBlaze and CRTV. The timing is perfect.”

If you are a subscriber to The Blaze Premium you will immediately have access to the programs at CRTV (and vice versa).

CRTV offers shows such as LevinTV, Louder with Crowder, America with Eric Bolling, and many more, while The Blaze Premium offers The News and Why it Matters, The Glenn Beck Program, and others.

The Blaze was launched in 2011 by former Fox host Glenn Beck while CRTV was launched in 2014 with Mark Levin as its lead host.

But Levin noted that he, personally, has not “merged” with anyone. After news broke, Levin took to his Facebook page to offer a clearer explanation: “Mark Levin and Glenn Beck did not merge. CRTV and TheBlaze merged. Mr. Levin does not hold management authority in CRTV. The decision for the merger was made by the principals of CRTV and TheBlaze. Also, the headquarters will not be in Dallas, TX.”

According to the press release, the new company “will be led by co-presidents Tyler Cardon, who was formerly president of TheBlaze, and Gaston Mooney, who was formerly the president of CRTV.”

This particular merger, though, does not preclude further mergers of Beck’s Internet empire in other areas.
