The media are blaming Trump for the mailed inoperative pipe “bombs” because of his rhetoric. Who would expect anything else from the anti-Trump media? The Left will use anything and everything in an attempt to bring down Trump.
There are a number of people on the Right who contend that pipe “bomb” escapade might be a ploy of some wild-eyed Democrat trying to affect the Midterm Election by diverting attention from the mob-type tactics of the Left. Sure enough, the media willingly took the bait.
Maybe there’s another way to look at these series of events. Consider the following:
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters on Thursday morning that President Donald Trump is “certainly not responsible for sending suspicious packages to someone, no more than Bernie Sanders was responsible for a supporter of his shooting up a Republican baseball field practice last year.”
Her statement triggered something for me.
The following is from a CNN article:
James T. Hodgkinson, the man identified as shooting a Republican member of congress and four others on Wednesday morning, was a small business owner in Illinois who defined himself publicly by his firm support of Bernie Sanders’ progressive politics — and his hatred of conservatives and President Donald Trump.
This is based on CNN’s review of Hodgkinson’s Facebook profiles, public records, and three years of impassioned letters to his local newspaper.“Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co.” he posted on his personal Facebook page on March 22.“Republicans are the Taliban of the USA,” he posted in February [of 2017].
*****In the past year, most of his Facebook posts consisted of signed petitions on Change.org with titles such as: “Bernie — please run no matter what;” “Hillary Rodham Clinton should concede the nomination to Bernie Sanders;” and “Healthcare for all Americans.”
Is it possible that the person sending the pipe “bombs” is a Bernie Sanders supporter who is upset with the Democrat Party for fixing the Democrat Primary to keep Bernie Sanders from being the nominee?
Why would the person use Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s return address on the packages? If he or she (or they) wanted to implicate Trump and the Republicans, why not pick a prominent Republican’s return address?
Wasserman Schultz was instrumental in keeping Bernie Sanders from the Democrat nomination:
As the chair of the DNC and national face of the party, Wasserman Schultz not only was a target of the right but was accused of bias against Clinton’s primaries challenger, Sen. Bernie Sanders, an Independent who caucuses with the Democrats. Internal DNC emails were posted just prior to the party convention in the summer of the campaign showing that Wasserman Schultz and her aides were unhappy with Sanders, although nothing showed they acted against him. She quit as party chairwoman during the convention, to the delight of the party’s pro-Sanders left. U.S. intelligence agencies believe that Russian intelligence was behind the hacking and leaking of the emails.
“The State of Florida is so embarrassed by the antics of Crooked Hillary Clinton and Debbie Wasserman Schultz that they will vote for CHANGE,” he said in one tweet after Wasserman Schultz’s resignation. Another said: “The highly neurotic Debbie Wasserman Schultz is angry that, after stealing and cheating her way to a Crooked Hillary victory, she’s out!”
Like everyone else, I don’t know who is behind the mailings. But it’s not beyond the realm of possibilities that the culprit is a Bernie Sanders supporter.Don't forget to Like Godfather Politics on Facebook and Twitter, and visit our friends at RepublicanLegion.com.
