American television personality Meghan McCain is once again taking pot shots at the President, and using the legacy of her father to do so.
John McCain, longtime Senator and Vietnam War veteran, was laid to rest just months ago after a battle with brain cancer. Before his death, (and after it), McCain has been a target of President Trump’s tirades from time to time – a fact that has irked a great many political observers.
Not the least of these folks is Meghan McCain, who often uses her metaphorical pulpit on The View to bash the President.
The younger McCain went out of her way Wednesday to praise those who were protesting Trump during his visit to London.
“The View” host Meghan McCain and her mother Cindy both appreciated British protesters’ attempts to bother President Trump by projecting an image of a massive red hat that bore the name of the U.S.S. John S. McCain — a subject of tension between McCain and the president.
“I found it very entertaining the way that British people troll and they do it so much better than we do,” she said before introducing the sign.
The feeling was apparently a family affair.
When “The View” showed the image, McCain said she “love[d] this so much.” Noting that she and her mother both laughed at the prank, she thanked the group behind the act.
“I just thought it was such a brilliant troll,” she also said. The group put up the projection while Trump visited officials in the United Kingdom. It was an apparent reference to a request to “minimize” the U.S.S. McCain from view during a recent diplomatic visit to Japan.
The projection stunt was also shared on Twitter:
Hey @realDonaldTrump, we read the story about the sailors on a US warship being ordered to hide from you because you’re triggered by the name on their hats. So we turned Madame Tussaud's into a giant USS John McCain baseball cap. Welcome to London! pic.twitter.com/KuynOwupFm

Despite Meghan’s personal attachment to the protest, the concept of a republican television host egging on the President’s protestors likely won’t sit well with many within the GOP.Don't forget to Like Godfather Politics on Facebook and Twitter, and visit our friends at RepublicanLegion.com.
