Melania Shuts Down Ivana’s Joke About Being Trump’s “First Lady”

It is no secret that Donald Trump was married before Melania. However, I don’t think any of us saw this feud coming.

Ivana Trump recently wrote a book called “Raising Trump”, which is all about her raising three children (Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka, and Eric) with Donald Trump.

Ivana Trump was President Trump’s first wife. She and Trump married in 1977 and divorced in 1992, and had three children together — Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka and Eric.

Melania is Trump’s third wife, after Marla Maples. The couple married in 2005.

As part of promoting her book, she attended an interview with “Good Morning America” on Monday.

Ivana “jokingly” referred to herself as the “first lady” in the interview. Ivana said, “I have the direct number to White House, but I no really want to call him there because Melania is there,” she continued, “I don’t want to cause any kind of jealousy or something like that because I’m basically first Trump wife.”

“I’m first lady, OK?” she joked.

Melania Trump was not laughing, and she quickly made it known.

First lady Melania Trump’s spokeswoman blasted Ivana Trump’s comments calling herself the “first lady” as “self-serving noise.”

Spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham added, “Mrs. Trump has made the White House a home for Barron and the President. She loves living in Washington, DC, and is honored by her role as first lady of the United States. She plans to use her title and role to help children, not sell books,” Grisham added, “There is clearly no substance to this statement from an ex, this is unfortunately only attention-seeking and self-serving noise.”
