A parent of a middle school-aged child in California was outraged when her son came home talking about a game sponsored by a teacher where kids play acted like illegal aliens who had to escape ICE agents and blow up a section of border wall to illegally enter the U.S.A.
The parent alerted the media after her child told of the “Deportation Time” game played in a classroom in Cesar Chavez Middle School in Escondido, California, according to KGTV.
“I literally screamed a lot of expletive words and felt like I wanted to throw up,” the parent told the media. “It was so disheartening.”
“It just made my stomach churn,” “Danielle” added.
According to the news station:
The objective is to be the first player crossing the border into the United States while trying to avoid border patrol checkpoints.
And it’s mandatory to blow up the border wall to cross.
“I really feel like the teacher should be held accountable for this,” Danielle said. “One, she missed a wonderful teaching opportunity to tell the kids this isn’t the correct way to think about this subject.”
Danielle said the board game theme was approved by the teacher, and that she provided no comments when handing it back.
Danielle also said she was proud of her son because he raised serious concerns about the game.
So far, the school has refused to make a statement on the teacher’s actions.
But notice what this “game” does. It makes illegal aliens heroes. It teaches kids that illegals should evade American authorities. It teaches kids to commit violence and terrorism to gain entry to the U.S. And this is a teacher pushing this garbage.
No wonder the school would rather avoid talking about the situation.
It is interesting that this happened at a school named after Cesar Chavez, too. Chavez, a famed farm worker’s rights activist and union supporter, did not support illegal immigration! He felt it harmed the labor market here in the U.S.A.
